Enter what one item costs you. The calculator works backwards through every Etsy fee to the price that leaves you the margin you want.

Runs in your browser – nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved. Fees as published by Etsy, checked October 2026.

Why “cost × 2” doesn’t work on Etsy

Etsy’s fees are a percentage of the whole order plus fixed amounts, and VAT is added on top for most UK sellers – so doubling your cost can leave you with far less than half. Working backwards from the margin you want is the only reliable way.

Price for the ad sale too

When Etsy’s offsite ads bring a sale, up to 15% more comes off. The calculator shows the lowest price that still breaks even on those sales – below it, every ad sale loses you money.

Different sizes, different prices

Run each size separately: an A4 print and an A1 print have very different costs, and the same percentage mark-up rarely suits both.

Frequently asked questions

What profit margin should an Etsy print shop aim for?

Many print-on-demand sellers aim for 30% or more of the price after every cost, so refunds, reprints and the odd ad sale don’t wipe out a month’s profit.

Should I charge for delivery or include it?

Either works – Etsy charges its transaction fee on delivery too. Free delivery tends to help in search, so many sellers build delivery into the price.
